It's just that I have a habit of seeing myself as the main female and if that happened to me (fictional or not) it would irritate me. But I'd read it if it were happening to another character. Does that make sense and/or help?
Thanks for replying! That’s actually really helpful! I’m also not a fan of abusive relationships, and I wasn’t planning on it… except for some very violent, possibly gory descriptions of what would technically be defined as torture… to other characters. This would, result in my darkest fic yet… and I’m not even done GD.

I’m really glad you gave in your opinion because answers like this will determine if I even write the fic out or not. I was planning on it being very very verydark so there would be violence, and abuse (not of the main female character though) was being considered. so thank you for telling me this!
